My wife doesn't have a MR # She just uses mine. That way we pool all the points, stays, and nights on one membership. All the reservations have my name on them, and she has my "permission" to check-in before I arrive. Sometimes I'm actually coming, sometimes I'm a couple states away. As Free flyin mentions the hotel has no way of knowing and the front desk employees generally don't care. The only benefit for us to have separate accounts would be if her travel increased to the point where she could achieve Plat and have a 2nd Plat guarantee in the family!!!
