I second the mention of Kopps. The wholesome Milwaukee chain holds a special place in my heart. After our small wedding reception, we took our guests to Kopps for custard - in the middle of December. The gentlemen in white uniforms and white paper hats served us some delicious holiday Mint Chocolate Chip custard.

The special flavor changes daily, but the fallback chocolate and vanilla are equally delightful. There's nothing like it, and it's definitely worth the trip
