Way OT: But a really/really good fare

My apologies for how OFF TOPIC this is, but it is coming from a fellow Canadian who is interested in travel from Canada to Paris.

I was helping my mom search for fares for Canada-Paris (we live in Winnipeg)... and came across ZOOM from Toronto-Paris for a variety of cheap prices ranging from $149 o/w to about $259 o/w and thought that was our cheapest option. But then for some reason I remembered that KUWAIT AIRWAYS has a 2x weekly A343 service from Chicago to Geneva continuing to Kuwait City, that they allow for ORD-GVA boardings. The fare was ridiculously low. We found (via expedia) a fare for $352usd with taxes in, and with the CAD dollar so high these days, it totally beat the ZOOM price.

My question... has anyone ever booked with KUWAIT or travelled this service? I know the airline is set to withdraw services from Chicago with the start of the winter sked probably because of poor loads, so travel in Sep and Oct is the latest one could book for. Also, there wouldn't be any concerns booking this via expedia would there? I'm just a little worried that when they show up at the KU ticket counter at T5 they'll say, 'uh sorry we don't have your reservation.... who did you book with? Expedia.... what is that?'

Would I have any reason to worry booking such a fare via expedia? (Sep 26-Oct 20 for example as it is a Mon/Thu service)

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Matt

And if this is just too OT for the admin, I can totally understand it being removed.
