I'm sorry, I seriously don't get it. I'm all for offering praise when someone does go above and beyond, but this is souch a routine transaction that praising the company for it is silly. I don't see what NW did out of the ordinary for the customer here.

AA whacked one of my flights for Dec., I looked up what I wanted instead, called them and switched at no fee. I did the same with US a couple weeks ago after a schedule change. And with CO, I didn't like their new schedule, nor did I like the other options, I requested a refund. All normal transactions, within my rights.

Praising a company for something like this is as silly as praising a company for a routine retail transaction. Imagine someone posting, "I went to Safeway, bought $18 worth of stuff, handed them a $20, they gave me $2 in change and put all my stuff in a bag! She also said thank you. Way to go Safeway!!" Uh, that's the way it's supposed to be, it's not above and beyond.

If anything, this this goes to show that people don't know their rights in a schedule change.
