one caveat to be aware of with nwa.com...in order to buy tickets there you need a NW WP number...to my knowledge, there is no way to login with your CO number...and if you get a WP ID to log into the site, you cant swap your WP number for your CO number after ticket purchase. What I have been doing in a similar situation, is either buying the ticket on Orbitz (if the price is cheaper), or just calling NW and buying it directly from them...and asking them to add my CO number (make sure you ask the agent to verify the status came through)...then everything is automatic from that point on. You can verify your upgrades at nwa.com by going to 'view/change reservations' and viewing your reservation there once inside the window. Seats can either be changed on the phone, or online if you check-in via computer.
