Is it just me, but does Air New Zealand have this attitude that people who fly Economy Class are too ignorant to want to see/read the news?

I find it rather odd that Economy pax can't have access to newspapers, whereas those in Business class do. Not only this, but all pax don't have any news to watch in terms of inflight entertainment. This was a surprise to me, considering they have a rather fancy new IFE system - all I wanted was some sort of news bulletin.

Perhaps I've been spoilt in Australia and Europe, but newspapers are considered fairly standard throughout the flight on most reasonable carriers. In the morning, it's nice being able to get the news on a morning flight, when you haven't had time to read everything beforehand (or least have a paper onboard to read )
