Because it's all income, regardless of whether it's base pay or overtime.
As for your suggestion that FAs, GAs, TAs, etc. "spill a few drinks"...that does nothing but highlight your lack of maturity and intelligence. The airline isn't in enough trouble to begin with...now they should alienate people that actually buy their product.

Dude, you're a genius.
Yeah, but you AREN'T talking about base pay and overtime -- the word overtime is never mentioned by any of this elitist crowd when they crow that mechanics "make $70K on the average." I have yet to see ONE single post that says "the mechanics work an avg of 55 hrs a week to make $70K a year." If NW management doesn't want to pay overtime they should hire more workers. Clearly they can hire them to union bust.
You object to the average highly schooled and skilled worker who keeps your bbutt alive on those plans with those skills making $25-$27 bucks an hour? You object to people cleaning up after you making $15-17 bucks an hour? Clearly the answer is that you do object to that. I'm sorry, that's not even a gray area for me -- that's just wrong.
