Qantas jet makes emergency landing in Osaka after signal indicated smoke in cargo hold.

A Qantas jet carrying 191 people including 13 crew members made an emergency landing at Japan's Osaka airport early Sunday morning after a signal indicated there was smoke in its cargo hold.

Nine people were injured as they left the Airbus A330 by sliding down chutes. The casualties were taken to hospital for treatment. There is no immediate word on their conditions.
