I know that the "72-hour sale" rates aren't eligible for earning miles. Could that be the cause?

Update: My last stay just posted. It was 3 weeks ago. I wasn't expecting any miles though, 'cause I remember reading the 72-hour sale T&Cs and thought it said those rates weren't eligible. No complaint.
