Hard to get excited about a buffet. 10k points would get you a HIX stay worth £50ish in the UK, and I can't see a CP buffet being worth more than £15 or so.

If you are long on points, hold back until January - BA may repeat its '2000 bonus miles per transfer' promo which would get you 4,500 BA for every 10,000 PC you move.

Don't forget you can also use points to renew Ambassador - 24,000 isn't it? Albeit not great value for saving $100, if you've got the points its more money in your pocket.
