In the U.S., I think of AA as "owning" the naked look. I think it's a good look: the view of ORD when you walk out of the AC between H and K is pretty cool. Glistening silver birds all lined up at the gates... ^

So to me, it's a marketing thing. If NW or anybody else went nekked, I'd think "They're just trying to be like AA!"
