Not if you are a member of AMFA! As I understand it, NW's last contract offer was not submitted to the AMFA membership for a vote. Unfortunately, the union is looking to its own perceived best interest and not that of its senior membership. What is wrong with preserving the jobs of those with the greatest seniority? As a matter of fact, I believe that NW's final offer would have increased the number of mechanics who would be retained while eliminating the overpaid cleaners/custodians.
If I were a mechanic with 20 years on the job, I would sure have liked to vote on that offer, especially in consultation with my spouse and family.
