You'll be fine at either one, though as noted above the rooms at the PH tend to be more luxuriously appointed than the GH.

For me it would depend on the rate - I would not pay 2x to stay at the PH, or even 1.5x. In fact, I would go on priceline where you will probably end up at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero for $75/nt. If you can get a rate close to that at the PH or GH you should jump on it!
