obviously you have no clue about the human's psyche. Marketing lesson I tells you - make things exclusive to raise their perceived value to someone not having access to it. But you're right if you just look at the product (lounge access) it might not always be the better deal compared to common goods like a coffee bar considering the total expenses you incurred to get the access to the lounge.
anyhow if people wouldn't like those kind of 'exclusive' things, the LH first class terminal wouldn't make sense in the first place, hmm?
