I posted this on the "BA Do" thread as well....


As you'll recall from my last update, we had made reservations via AR's argentina website, but had been repeatedly unsuccessful in purchasing the tickets due to the fact that we were calling from the US (not so much that we LIVE in the US). And we refused to pay the outrageous ~US$500 fare from AR's US website.

Anyway, we decided to contact local BA travel agent Daniela based on the hearty endorsements here. It could not have gone smoother and I could not recommend her more highly. Additionally, she takes credit cards (although you will need to fax her a copy of the card, your passport and sign a form stating you agree to the charges), so no worries about Western Union fees. We got the same fare quoted on the Argentine AR website (AR$595) for the r/t from AEP-IGR-AEP midweek.

We are in the home stretch as I type this, having faxed Daniela the information she needed this afternoon. We are just waiting for our e-ticket receipts now, but all looks like smooth sailing.
