Any lawyers out there. If BA claim it is goodwill gesture then they are probably OK, but then leave themselves open to a claim for compensation for the affected flight/service.

If BA admit that the miles are for the affected flight/service are they not guilty of discrimination which could be challenged, since they are offering compensation based on who you are (well strictly what colour you are ) rather than what you purchased, even I presume for two people sat in the same cabin next to each other on the same flight.

What a mess.
