o sh*t, this is not looking good - just spent 10 mins re-assuring the missus that everything would be fine, or they'd do something to 'put the smile back on her face', - 12k miles ain't gonna do that in the slightest, in fact I would hide from her the fact that she got that, so as not to upset her w/the insult.

Jonezy00 may be putting forward the legal position of a BA if it were under intense pressure to win a case or battle, but it would be extremely commercially suicidal IMHO, to actually hold that position with regards to it's premium-paying pax. Therefore, I await with interest other poster's experiences of this.

Let's not forget that it is not just food here we're talking about, but also the drinks, amenities & other bizarrely-associated w/Gate Gourmet items we are going to be missing in F.

Edited to add- quite franky, re-reading other threads about 100k here & 50k there for Economy flights s/haul that went ahead anyways - then us F pax afterwards having the whole FIRST experience ruined - many of us 'once in a life-timers' getting a lousy 12k - well I'd be very interested in participating in any lawsuits that develop & contributing financially - should this be the case.

I presume that there are enough lawyers here in this predicament/annoyance, who could take the lead.
