We do get charged a booking fee from our travel agent - I guess this is understandable now that the travel agent doesn't get commission from BA.
SimonB, as I recall that case, it was PricewaterhouseCoopers that got nailed (why are we so "careful" in not mentioning names here????? ). Anyways, the fine applied to the US prcatice but fearing similar lawsuits in the UK, PwC altered its charging methods. Of course, if one of the "Big 4" did it then all of them do it......

krysten - you asked why the need to for these firms to do this to their clients? Simple, because they can!
