For reservations made online, the fares are not actually held at all, onle for those made on the phone. The 24 hour rule does not, technically, apply. Some here have reported the fare changing within the 24 hours, and calling web services to have them reinstate...but they need not do this as there is no statement anywhere that the fare is held for any period of time. The resevrvation is held, but the act of holding even says that fares are not guaranteed until ticketed.
