Watch out on partner postings - the date they use will vary from partner to partner. On a recent trip, Budget used the date I started to rent the car as the "credit earned" date, while Hilton showed me earning the credit on the check-out date. Bonuses (such as signing up for the Visa) can take even longer to show up, and typically aren't past-dated.
