Ok, looks like using miles might be a good idea. I have 2 questions regarding this...

1. If I use miles and then get EAU, can the miles be redeposited?

2. I'll be flying MCI-EWR-IAH-ANC that day. If I do a one-way upgrade with miles will that apply solely to IAH-ANC or can it be applied EWR-IAH-ANC?
