I put the itinerary on hold, then ate lunch and came back to see what other options might be available. Same dates and destinations that were $587.50 plus taxes at 11:53 CST today, and were $432.50 plus tax at 12:26 now come up as $563.50 plus tax. When you select one of these ten itineraries at that price, they all result in a message that that itinerary is no longer available, and give an itinerary at $717.30 plus tax. I don't think I've ever experienced quite this much of a moving target at AA.com.

I'm trying to pin down accommodations availability before pulling the trigger on the held reservation. I'm assuming that the fare is held as well.
