I am trying to decide whether the Venice card is a good deal for me. I will be arriving Venice by train and leaving by plane, so I will definitely need transportation from the train station to my hotel and from my hotel to VCE at the very least. I will be staying for 3 days, so if I were to get a pass, it will most likely be the 3-day pass.

With this in mind, I looked at the cost of a 3-day blu card (39 Euros) with transport to the airport. How much is the regular fare to the airport via Alilaguna shuttle? What about the fare from the train station to my hotel via vaporetto? After deducting the cost of these two rides, how many more vaporetto rides would I "need" to take to make this card worthwhile? Also, with the orange card costing 13 Euros more, how many of those museums do I need to visit to justify the difference? In other words, would I be better off buying individual tickets if I don't intend to travel a lot on vaporetto (I am thinking about taking a day trip to Murano, though) and only going to a few museums?
