I finally set up my husband with an e-rewards account and he redeemed for HH to our mutual account in June. I just redeemed my quarterly $50 to HH.
I hope this gets straightened out by the time he has to redeem again.
BTW - if you look at the terms of the e-reward redemption, it clearly states that you can redeem once every 90 days - not once every 90 days into a specific HH account. I'm sure they didn't take mutual accounts into consideration.
