It's unclear whether the grand deluxe is a larger room, or if it simply comes with more amenities. Right now, we're leaning toward the Grand simply because of the breakfast & cocktails, but also trying to figure out if it's worth the extra $60.

So if anyone who has stayed in this category could offer some advice, I'd appreciate it!

Oh, and side question, what are folks' thoughts about the feasability of getting a Priceline rate at the SGS from 28DEC-1JAN?

Regular stayer at the SGS and I'm 99% (oh alright, 99.5%) convinced the rooms are the same size. The Grand rooms may be on a higher floor though. The perks are probably worth it. The butler service gets you unlimited tea/coffee brought to your room, and you might get some free laundry/dry-cleaning thrown in. The breakfast there is awesome - on weekends/holidays you also have the choice of taking it by the pool. The staff will bring anything you'd like up from the main buffet downstairs. What with internet access thrown in if you're going to use it, the Grand package sounds pretty good.

Slightly OT, I stayed at the WGS for the first time last week. Was very impressed - the modern rooms are more my style than the SGS's. In a quandry now as to where to book for next week!
