OK, how about Indochine Waterfront (the one at Empress Place)? It's French-influenced Vietnamese, Laotian and Cambodian food. Good food (IMO) and very nice view of the river. Can also have drinks there as well and watch the sunset. What think? Of course, this would be preceded or followed by a hawker run so CGK can get his martabak.
