I turned in my car at DFW last week after a five day rental. I had booked using the (in)famous PC 924932, free day coupon. I've used it before, it shows on the record as "redeem coupon on return", or something similar. I had a hard copy from the web site, ready to give to them. But the roving agent didn't say a word to me when he got to me, didn't ask how the car was, didn't tell me the total amount, just handed my the receipt. I told him I needed to have the PC applied, he wouldn't do it, told me to go to customer service. I went there, they were very nice, I mentioned the lack of communication from the agent. That was what bothered me, not me having to go to the counter. I also mentioned there were some problems with the car, since he didn't care to listen. They applied my PC and then told me they were giving me a certificate. I had never seen this, she printed out a "Customer Satisfaction Car Rental Certificate", good for $25 off my next rental. So got my free day plus a bonus. Thank you FT and thank you Hertz.
