CO put the old 747-200's out of service maybe 7-8 years ago. The 747's used to fly to LGW and to NRT, maybe FRA. Originally they had three class of service - with F in the front nose section. These only had the small upstairs with the spiral staircase. They were not too reliable. Sometimes they would have an oil leak and have to shut down one of the four engines to LGW. But only delayed you about 1/2 hour at the slower speed.

CO picked the 747's up I believe from People's Express when Texas Air group bought People's Express. People's Express was responsible for the new Term C at EWR. That is why CO has a Hub at EWR.
