AA offers the easiest wasy to get to lifetime status: 1 million miles earned any way (including Visa charges) gets you lifetime gold and 2 million miles gives you lifetime platinum. UA and DL also offer lifetime programs, based on actual miles flown.

None of these offer lifetime status in their top level - as CO did with their infinite elite.
