My experience is that BA reservations team were rebooking passengers onto multiple flights on Saturday. I was booked onto a total of 4 separate flights after the flight I was rebooked on was cancelled. To be fair, I was asked to let the check-in people know so that they could free up seats for other passengers. Perhaps in the confusion some passengers forgot to do this.
