Well as one who holds dual citizenship (UK and Canadian), I have to say that I like it. I get the privileges AND responsibilities that go with each.
I can't speak for other dual citizens but I know that I participate fully in Canadian democracy, volunteer my time for several charitable groups, vote (yes even in municipal elections) and have never questioned my allegiance to Canada. I know this is more than several of my Canadian-born acquaintances who seldom donate to charitable causes, vote very occasionally etc. etc. That is certainly their right--it is a great democracy.
My point is there are likely lots of Canadian born citizens who don't appreciate and don't do much to protect the wonderful gift they have been given and there are lots of dual citizens who do.
In the end, one group of citizens is not better than the other. Each individual's actions are the only measure of their commitment to the place we all call Canada.
