It just seems to me that there are many untold parts to this story, and filling them in is leading to rampant speculation, thereby changing what could have happened into what must have happened.

At the end of it all, people who weren't there and didn't experience this first-hand really have no way of knowing what took place. That's where it should end. Everything else is just a waste of time.
