Tried the A300 6 months ago when there was an equipment change from the normal A330/B777 between BKK-HKG in C. It was a very old and with ancient aircraft interior, you are right. No footrest, seat pitch no more than 38 inch. I think you would be much more comfortable on the MD11, despite not having footrest either, at least the legroom will be much better.

p.s. both don't have PTV
