I've alread hit 75K and gotten my 50,000 mile bonus. I am working on my CO Platinum status on which I am gravely behind (but I found these $800 First class fares from Seattle to Costa Rica so I'll be doing a bit of snorkeling this fall). I received upon re-qual for basic Glod, the same weak 4 one-way companion upgrades and a new card for next year (not a new design or anything, at least not from what I can see).
If AS has a confirmable seat, I too am far more likely to go with them. My upgrades have been so dismal with CO's EUA this year (maybe 50%) that I just won't fly them in any of their hub markets (so that leaves just ANC-SEA) unless I'm on an F,Z, A or high coach fare (all of which I buy only several times per year so it's going to be harder to re-qualify in future years though the 50% EQM bonuses from F and Y help a little).
I do find that IAD-SEA always seems to have good upgrade availability whenever I purchase whether it's months, weeks or even a few days. I just wish they had a later flight than approx 8AM.
