I just had Alaska hold 2 saver award seats. I called on Friday and they were held until Tuesday at the same time (I guess two business days). I even went online to check the reservation and there it was, a hold. I told them I was waiting for Starwood points to post and the agent didn't seem to have a problem. He said, the only time we hold an award reservation is if points were pending. I guess it depends on the agent. For once I got one of the good ones, I guess.
