Back in 1998, a similar series of cancellations or delays resulting in ATL-overnighters were the primary reason for my jumping ship from DL to NW.

Last week, my PIT-MEM flight on NW(Pinnacle partner) was cancelled due to a "mechanical." And, I was checking the MEM-VPS segment for the prior day just for curiosity and IT had been cancelled for a "mechanical." Wound up on DL CRJs to CVG, then to VPS. And the ASA flight CVG-VPS was delayed an hour...but at least I got there.

It looks like bad news all around, and I don't have another good backup carrier out of VPS for flights to the Northeast. At least you do have some options, so best of luck.
