You want respect yet you're put off when someone addresses you as Sir or Mr, what do you want?

As for people cutting in front of you. I believe it is more so that other elites are trying to wade through the "non-elite" people that immediate get in line to board. Many congregate in the elite line that shouldn't be there and I ask if they are first or elites as I do not want to cut in front of another elite/first, never not thinking they couldn't be elites. And how do you know what other people are thinking?
