First of all, what fares are you finding? Seems to me you're looking at an expensive itin no matter what (i.e., three prime winter destinations).

Second, try: http://matrix.itasoftware.com/cvg/dispatch/prego

In the "from" field plug in TPA::UA+ and in the "to" field use OGG::UA+ (this will show all UA possible routings between the two cities -- or plug in other airline codes, AA, DL, CO etc.). This will give you a sense of the "standard" options. Then, as kgsd suggested, try HNL.

Third, think of the entire itin as 2 nested trips: one from, say, TPA-ORD-OGG-ORD-TPA, then a second ORD-LAS-ORD. You get the idea.
