I would guess that if you are only 72 miles short of Platinum status, you'll get it after Jan 1 even if your EFD-IAH segment doesn't post. But, I'd still make it a point to try to get it credited. If it were me, I'd call the OnePass service center, explain the situation, and see what they say. I've always had a good experience using this method.

In my experience, it's much better when sending in boarding passes etc. in unusual situations to be able to say "I spoke with Agent X at the OnePass Service Center and they said that you'd do Y for me if I sent in the documentation." Hopefully, Agent X has noted your account (ask them to do so!) so that when the correspondence is received, you just get credit for whatever Agent X told you, as opposed to a new person making a judgement call without you being able to converse with them.
