As someone seriously affected by this strike, I can add a couple of comments. I have just gotten off the phone with the US Executive Club reservation line, the CSR spent close to 40 minutes trying to get me across the pond, on ANY partner airline. He was resourceful, but to no avail. I am now forced to wait two days to start my vacation/holiday (and possibly longer, if this does not get sorted out quickly)
I have been compensated, with a two class upgrade on my return flights.
