You are right, of course. The ironic part is that some TalkBoard members will see this as proof that this forum is not needed.

On one hand, they demand to see the kind of threads which would appear in the forum. On the other, if shown threads which were correctly posted, they will say that this shows the current system is working.

The kind of proof they want is, as Spiff said above, consists of threads
"in forum(s) unrelated to the subject".

So if you ask about a hostel in Rome in the Rome Forum, that does not count. If you ask about hostels generally in Travel Buzz, that does not count. If you ask about hostels located near the airport in Tel Aviv and put it in the Ben-Gurion Forum, that also won't count.

Why? Because all these forums are related to the subject.

Of course, a thread asking about hostels in the "Luxury Hotel" forum would count, but the moderator there would undoubtedly move it elsewhere very quickly and it would no longer count.

Meanwhile, if you are looking for information about hostels, you have to search all over FlyerTalk to find it.
