If you're over 50, you may find a Hilton rate comparable to AAA, without paying for any membership. It's the AARP rate but you don't have to belong to AARP. I have been a member of AAA since I started driving in 1970 - the maps and tourbooks make it worthwhile, not to mention the occasional road service.
