Okay, maybe it's rumor, but maybe it's not. Here's an interesting dilemma.

I fly CLE-BWI a lot, in order to avoid getting gouged in CLE-PHL and CLE-EWR markets. Full Y on WN is $200. CO matches the fare, but its a Q fare. So I can fly 8 roundtrips, spend $1600 (or LESS), and get an "easy to use" award ticket to get to SEA with only one connection. OR.... I can fly CO, not be able to use the miles to upgrade, get missed by EUA, and get no credit because even tho' I'd be spending more money than I'd HAVE to, Gordo still won't think it's enough. Apparently, CO thinks their CLE-BWI service is so much BETTER than WN, that I'm expected to pay a fare higher than WN's highest fare?

I don't think so. I've got plenty of miles that I can't use now! Why should I be trying to earn more?
