What on earth are you on about - Come the first Monday after her introduction in Dec., you don't think it's just the bit slightest possible that when she reported to her superiors about her new role, & said that they'd all been booking Hong Kong for £100 - that maybe they took a slight interest? Or did they just say 'well, that's irrelevant, we're here purely to assist them further.'
I doubt it's the whole reason, but could be one of many - such as the ones RJB highlighted.
