Marketing in DC
I got out of the escalator at the Farragut North metro station this morning (busiest station in the legal/what-passes-in-DC-for-a-financial district) to see a T-shirted team of airline marketeers passing out flyers. But it wasn't Independence, it was United, promoting "up to 5 inches more legroom." What a surprise! So many Washingtonians seem unaware that UA has a hub at IAD. But then, considering it's IAD, maybe UA prefers it that way.
