And look at how the travel consumer has just "let" the airlines, as pointed out all of them, elliminate this bonus. Now we also seem to be letting Delta elliminate the SWU, have Simply Good Business, and no upgrades on L and U fares. We've let NW elliminate miles on cyber savers, and to top it all off we've just let CO, followed by others, raise the change fee when the costs to change tickets (e-tickets) is less than paper.
The consumer should start to take a stance. Like what would co do if say 5,000 flyers emailed them when they made the change fee announcement, and said they were going with another airline. Or what if literally tens of thousands of flyers left Delta.
But instead we compalin about it, a little, either on these boards, to our seat mates, or someone at the office, while not taking steps to impact the suppliers who keep devaluing these programs. If we look in 5 years, what else will be devalued.
