So many fantastic suggestions, it difficult to add to the already impressive list of Edinburgh pubs. But, I'll add a few of my favourites anyway

Kays Bar Jamaica Street North Lane
Wonderful, homely pub with friendly service and much loved by its New Town regulars.

The Bow Bar Victoria Street
Classic, no nonsense pub, just off the Grassmarket. Its a must and boasts an extensive range of malt whiskies too.

Dragonfly West Port
New addition to the Edinburgh pub scene from the owners of the Outsider and the Villager. Multi-level pub with table service if you can't be bothered ordering from the bar. Great cocktail list too.

Berts Bar William Street
Gentle surroundings with extensive range of local ales. Don't leave until you've enjoyed one of their famous, local pie and mash dishes. No matter how intoxicated you become, it best not to disturb the Domino's players.

Cambridge Bar Young Street
Best burgers in Edinburgh. They even have an Atkins friendly menu.

So, am I the only one thinking an EDI-DOO is looming? Heck, if AZ Travels the World is willing to travel all this way to accompany his brother for a few jars in Edinburgh, then its only sporting that we join in
