AA used to do it to me all the time. I could pretty much gurantee that if I forgot and left the DL stuff on there it would not be there when I got the bag back! (Now living in Atlanta I no longer fly AA!)


I don't buy the accident issue. How come the same tags can go on lots of DL flights and not be damaged, but on one AA flight they "disappear" Plus it happened more then once. (SW tags also disapppeared!)

Of course at that time AA was attempting to set a new standard in "lack of service" in Nashville also. (This was during their pull out and for some reason the employees thought that being rude to the customers would help them keep thier jobs?)
