A few pages back this thread started to get ugly, the kind of thing that might warrant going back and editing out some unpleasant comments and throwing a flag down on the play with some members via PM.

* The thread is 106 pages long (at least on my display) at the moment, and I really don't want to go through it post-by-post.

* It's the kind of thread that would often belong in Mileage Run, no doubt the moderators of that forum would have stepped in and redirected the conversation to the fare itself, whether or not it's going to be honored, etc. and away from off-topic discussion. I'm not going to move the thread over there at its current 106 pages -- at least not without checking in with them first!

* But I'd like to ask everyone to stay on topic at least -- the fare that was offered, SAS and booking engines' responses, etc.

* And most of all I'd like to ask everyone to stay pleasant, friendly, civil. It's fine to disagree with any member's decision whether or not to pursue a fare, but don't be disagreeable while doing it. It's not very persuasive and it's against FT's TOS.
