777 Tokyo to Taipei

Hey folks....first time flying this route and this specific version of 777. We could not get 4 first class seats from Tokyo to Taipei, so we booked C. (F was available on the return.)

We are booked on a 777XP (which United seat map shows as International Config 2.......but ticket agent and some threads here indicate that seat map is wrong.)

In the forward C mini-cabin, there are two rows in the middle (8 and 9 D/E/F) and only seats 9 H/J. Supposedly, 8/9 A/B have all been removed, and 8 H/J also removed.

Is this really the configuration? Sounds too good to be true. What did they put in place of the 8/9 A/B? And if 8 H/k is missing, there must be 100 inches of leg room in front of 9 H/K.

Any insight from anyone? Naturally, since I made the reservations, I put us in 9 H/K. For the 2 folks sitting in the middle, better to take 8 D/F or 9 D/F?

cheers
